After living in the streets, Goodluck found a home in SOS

A little one year old boy arrived at our Village after living in the streets. His mother had been abandoned by his father and she did not have the means to take care of him. Fortunately, Goodluck was admitted to the SOS Village in Gwagwalada, Nigeria where his SOS Mother, brothers, and sisters received him with open arms. It wasn’t an easy transition for him; he had to slowly adapt to his new environment, often crying incessantly. Patiently, his SOS Mother took care of him, giving him the love and affection he needed to help him adjust to life in the SOS Village.

Although he is still too little to play on his own, Goodluck loves to spend time with his brothers and sisters, and the best parts of his day revolve around the time he spends with his family. Soon he will begin preschool at the SOS Kindergarten in Gwagwalada, where he will learn, build social skills, and shape his future. His SOS Mother is confident that he will grow up to be a very important person, just like Goodluck Johnathan (his namesake), the current president of Nigeria!
