On 29 April, Mrs. Bruni-Sarkozy payed a short visit to the SOS Children's Village in Gammarth. Together with Tunisian Minister Sarra Kanoun Jarraya, she was introduced to various activities of the SOS Children's Village. They visited family houses, the girls' youth house, the social-pedagogic facilities and spoke to the children and SOS mothers.

After Mrs. Bruni-Sarkozy made her entry in the visitor's book of the SOS Children's Village, she sang together with the children.

In Siliana and Mahrès are two more SOS Children's Villages. An additional project is being realised in Akouda, in the region of Sousse, and is supported by SOS Children's Villages France, who as a sponsor takes care of the financial part of the project.

Evidently taken with the visit Mrs.Bruni-Sarkozy explained to the press that SOS Children's Villages is doing a wonderful work, and that the children seemed very happy.
