King Abdullah of Jordan receives SOS Children's Villages President Helmut Kutin
15/03/2004 - On Sunday, 14 March, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan received SOS Children's Villages President Mr Helmut Kutin and a delegation from SOS Children's Villages Jordan. Also participating were the Minister of the Royal Court, the Minister of Planning and the acting Foreign Minister.
His Majesty King Abdullah expressed his total support to SOS Children's Villages in Jordan and his appreciation for the work and effort made by SOS-Kinderdorf International on behalf of orphaned and abandoned children around the world and especially in Jordan. His Majesty King Abdullah also spoke of Jordan's gratitude to the organisation for the care it provides for orphaned children.
Mr Kutin expressed the intention of SOS-Kinderdorf International to build a fourth children's village in Jordan in the future. Mr Kutin indicated that the SOS Children's Village and an SOS Social Centre will be constructed in one of the poorest areas in Jordan to support local families and their children.
