SOS Children’s Villages presents in DIHAD 2016 with a focus on its global emergency responses

SOS Children’s Villages International is participating in the 13th Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference & Exhibition – DIHAD – 2016 held in Dubai World Trade centre, March 21st- 23rd.

This participation comes from the organization belief in the importance of being present in the United Arab Emirates and engaging with the Gulf region in one of the biggest events of the humanitarian sector.
 
Mr Andreas Papp, SOS Children’s Villages Director for Global Emergency Responses, joins the event to present the global work of SOS Children’s Villages in the emergency area. He will introduce an overview of the work in 21 Emergency programmes run by SOS Children’s Villages globally, including but not limited to: 6 programmes in Africa, 11 in Asia and Oceania, 2 in Europe and 2 in the Americas. His presentation will be in the Innovation Room Monday the 21st.
“We are participating this year in DIHAD to reach our target group and engage with the humanitarian sector in this region.  Being here puts us in direct contact with many stakeholders and enable us to have dialogue with public and private entities to have partnerships to improve the lives of children around the world,” said Nicole Nassar Managing Director of SOS Children’s Villages Gulf Area Office.  
 
It is worth to mention that SOS Children’s Villages is one of the largest non-profit child care organizations in the world. It provides care, education and health support to children who have lost or who are at risk of losing parental care.
