The auction is just the latest in a long line of support for SOS Children's Villages by the Simply Red frontman. Mick began supporting SOS Children's Villages when he heard about the organisation's work in response to the devastating tsunami catastrophe at the end of 2004, when he not only gave a considerable personal donation, but also called on Simply Red's fans to give their support to SOS Children's Villages and its efforts in the affected countries. Most recently, the band generously provided SOS Children's Villages UK with a full page advert in the band's current European tour programme.
The exclusive Philips Streamium Wireless Music Centre to be auctioned will have space for up to 725 CDs, with Mick Hucknall's 25 all time favourite albums pre-loaded in the 750 album memory. The list of albums will be kept a secret during the online auction, so that only the successful bidder will know Mick's personal choice.
Simply Red fans' money will provide some of the world's neediest children with a better future. The music system exclusively signed by Mick Hucknall will be available for sale on
www.ebay.com from 19 January.
