Recovering after the earthquake in Ecuador

Helping children and families cope with the long-term consequences of the disaster

In April 2016, when a devastating earthquake hit the country, 7,000 buildings were destroyed, over 600 people lost their lives.

SOS Children's Villages immediately started an emergency programme to support affected families and children, providing protection, support, health care and the opportunity to connect through Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Corners.
