Who We Are

More Than Seventy Years of History

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organization for the global federation of national SOS Children’s Villages associations. We work together with a single mission: to ensure that every child grows with love, security and respect.

In Middle East & North Africa

Although SOS Children’s Villages was established in 1949, it was not until 1968 that the first SOS Children's Village opened its doors in Palestine. This was followed by Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Sudan in the mid-1970s.
