A mother fights to keep her daughter off the streets

Fatuma, a widow with six children, was away from home a lot trying her best to feed her family. She left Tashi, her eldest daughter, to watch the younger children in their two-roomed shack.  Tashi did not want this life of hardship. She thought about joining the street children whom she saw collecting plastic bottles to sell, and take herself to school.
